Guns by Sally-always the best for less. We are sure proud to offer this fancy example of Colt's venerable Single Action Army, the model of 1873. This is a factory engraved revolver, and it was issued in a Colt factory case. These brown leatherette cased guns have always done well in the market. Lately, factory engraved Colts have really skyrocketed in value. Some are close to 20 grand. I will list this one for the old standard of pricing. Made in the year of our Lord 1978, she looks great for being nearly 48 years old. The blue is rich and deep, the case color is vivid, as only Colt can produce. The scratch numbered grips are sharp, and fit very well. There is no sign of firing or turning, and the markings are sharp and clear. She is chambered in .44 Special with a desirable 7 ½ inch barrel, which is a nice departure from the more common calibers. Of course, the B level engraving is the icing on the cake. It is very well done, and those magic words found on the grip frame, “COLT ENG”, puts this wheel gun into a whole ‘nother class. If you have been looking for the right factory engraved Colt to collect, or for investment, but don’t want to break the bank, then look no further.
