Description:
Jerry Harper was a master engraver often times working for Jim Alaimo Nutmeg Sports. As one of the past Colt Custom Shop managers, Aliamo had a working relationship with Colt and was able to procure a limited production run of SAA guns in the white that included almost all of the 1st Gen. Colt attributes in a 3rd Gen gun. Those guns were extremely rare from the get go and even more rare now as they seldom come on to the market again for a generation.
Jerry Harper was a master at duplicating many of the late L.D, Nimschke and later Cuno A. Helfricht designs. This gun was done in a well know, late, Nimschke pattern. Great color and wonderful grain in the one piece elephant ivory grips. The gun was finished in bright nickle appropriate for the engraving time period.
I seldom use the term "rare". But these guns actually are. I've been lucky enough to own 4 of them. I doubt the current Colt Custom Shop would even consider such modifications. If they would, I have little doubt the cost would be eye watering.
The attributes of these rare Colt Custom shop guns were many. A sample listing of what was done on this gun:

hand cut hammer with a border and line
beveled cylinder
