Used; Second Generation; Circa 1969; SN 500XX SA; Colt Single Action Army Revolver in .38 Special; 5½ Inch Barrel; Charcoal Blue Finish with Bright (Fire) Blue Screws; (non-Factory, according to pending Colt Letter) Near-Full Coverage Engraving and Genuine Pearl Grips. This is some of the highest coverage and tasteful master engraving we have seen. Also included is a Set of Gold Medallion Wood Grips that are Carved to Match the Design on the Frame. This Revolver appears to be Unfired since being engraved and finished – making it 100 Percent Refinished Condition. The Classic Oak Leaf & Scroll Pattern has Deep Backgrounds with Fine Stippling, and Extraordinary Continuity of the Artwork from Metal to the Carved Wood Grips. Unique colors make this item difficult to photograph. Best color fidelity for the Metal is seen against the Light Background; best color fidelity for the Wood shows against the Dark Background.
