Description:
Here is a very cool old gun. It is a Spanish made "Colt Reformado" semi-copy of the Colt SAA. This one appears to be chambered for 44-40 WCF. This old revolver was likley made in Spain and sold to Mexico. There are almost no visible markings remaining. The serial numer of 118 or 448 is a guess based on the worn lettering and my vision through a magnifying glass. There are a few letters visible on the barrel. The action is missing the trigger assembly, ejector assembly, the cylinder locking piece and possibly other parts. The left grip is broken. Sold AS-IS and is an antique, so it can ship direct to you with a copy of your ID to prove age and residency.
I bought this old relic from an old Texan who had it since his youth. His father was a border patrol agent in the 1950s and he found it in the West Texas desert. He brought it home and removed some parts to make it "non-functional" and gave it to his son to play cowboys and Indians with. He kept it all these years and final sold it off because he was getting too old and had no kids interested in guns.
Thanks for looking!
