1979 Fully Engraved EMF Dakota .45LC
Description: “Dakota” Top of barrel marked, “JAGER ITALY MOD. 1873”. Left side of the barrel marked, “DAKOTA CAL. 45 COLT”. Bottom of the barrel marked, “EMF CO. CALIF. USA” Full Coverage Engraving, the revolver is embellished with quality factory foliate scrollwork, with bright Nickel plated 4 5/8" barrel with a bright excellent bore. Engraved Dakotas are rare, rarer are nickeled Dakotas, and rarer still are full engraved Dakotas. It has been fired but is in 100 % condition This revolver was imported by EMF, Very Nice Nickel and Engraving. Serial #84xxx, with Ivory polymer grips. Dakota trademarked revolvers were imported by E.M.F. company Inc. were initially manufactured by Armi Jager, located in Val Trompia, Italy circa mid 1970s-mid 1980s. The mechanism functions perfectly with excellent timing and lockup. I cut my teeth on single action shooting Jager Dakotas back in the mid 1970s. To my mind they were superior in .45 Cal. accuracy then and now. This is the only one I ever had with full coverage engraving. The engraving is not the chintzy looking lazier engraving of today and that engraving is the standout feature of this gun. The box is included along with the original invoice. This is considered a modern firearm and must be shipped to a Federal Firearms License (FFL) Dealer. A copy of that license must be provided before shipment can be made.
