The Lightning series is designed after the classic Colt 1877 double-action revolver favored by classic Old West characters such as Billy the Kid, John Wesley Hardin, Calamity Jane, and Pearl Hart. The Lightning features a sturdier single-action design with a simplified internal mechanism over the original 77 series revolver while retaining the signature look of the latter.

The Dual Cylinder package is chambered in .38 Special and includes an additional 9mm cylinder. This model features a 4.75-inch barrel along with a case hardened finish. Both cylinders sport a 6-shot capacity.
