Description: Synopsis: Very attractive mid-war Enfield No2 Mk I* revolver made 1942, with usual bobbed hammer, serrated backstrap, and late form grips complete with original lanyard cord and canvas holster. Description: Excellent original condition Enfield No2 MK I* revolver dated 1942, military accepted. SN: U1822. Cal: .38. Standard configuration Enfield No2 MK I* with 5” barrel having inserted front blade and fixed rear sight. Top rib with “CAL .38” along with “42” date/acceptance markings. Barrel is British proofed on left side. Cylinder has each chamber proofed and is serial matched to the gun. Left side of the frame has been stamped ENGLAND. There are no "ENFIELD" markings. Major components are parkerized; small parts salt blued. Serrated wood grips with border. Base fitted with rotatable lanyard ring. Complete with a khaki lanyard cord and canvas holster. Markings inside flap not discernible. Condition: EXC with sharp edge wear and handling marks as one would expect from a lightly used service revolver. All British proofing breaks the parkerized finish. Comparable condition grips. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics.
