Sullivan Forehand and Henry C. Wadsworth were sons-in-law of Ethan Allen. They formed Forehand and Wadsworth after Ethan Allen passed away on Jan. 7, 1871. Forehand and Wadsworth continued to manufacture the same line of firearms, changing the markings to FOREHAND & WADSWORTH until 1890 when Wadsworth passed away. Sullivan Forehand continued manufacture as the Forehand Arms Co. He passed away in 1898, but the company name remained until his heirs eventually sold to Hopkins & Allen in 1902. Manufacturer located in Worcester, MA, circa 1871-1902. This top break revolver features a 5 round fluted cylinder and has a three inch barrel. Finish is good with the revolver showing normal wear.
