Massive 45-70 Revolver! Century Mfg. Model 100 Greenfield, Indiana

Description:
Serial #790, .45-70 Government, 8 inch barrel with bright, excellent bore. This is the Century Manufacturing Model 100 revolver, 2nd series built in Greenfield, Indiana with a manganese bronze frame. Originally constructed to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the 45-70 Government cartridge in 1973 these massive second series were made in very limited quantities starting in 1986 and incorporated a push button safety which acts as a hammer block that keeps the hammer from resting on the firing pin. In excellent condition overall The barrel and cylinder show 94-96% of the original blue finish with some light use marks and scratches. The manganese bronze frame shows some age darkening with light use marks and the walnut grips rate excellent. A massive powerful revolver that will be the talk of the range or hunting camp. FFL;
