"The Dutch Model 1873 (Old Model) solid frame double action revolver is the rare small Klein model variation. This is an officer's revolver. The overall length is approx. 9.5"" vs. the approx. 12"" of the standard model. The 5 3/16"" octagon 9.4mm caliber barrel has an excellent bright bore with strong rifling. The gate-loaded cylinder holds six rounds. All metal has a smooth blue patina with the barrel having much of its blue and the frame having a smooth blue-brown finish. The barrel has a blade front sight and notched receiver top rear sight. The serial number, 872 is found on the cylinder, cylinder rod, and bottom of the barrel. The right side of the receiver is marked in an oval J.F.J.BAR over DELFT. The grips are good with original finish, light usage dents and dings, and no cracks or chips. The action functions correctly. The Dutch Model 1873 (Old Model) Klein revolver is very rarely encountered today.
