Liege Proofed BELGIAN 9mm Cal. DOUBLE ACTION Self-Defense POCKET Revolver
Early 20th Century Belgian Revolver with a Lanyard Ring Safety!
Description: Liege Proofed BELGIAN 9mm Cal. DOUBLE ACTION Self-Defense POCKET Revolver Early 20th Century Belgian Revolver with a Lanyard Ring Safety! Here we present a C&R Double Action Pocket Revolver, manufactured in Liege, Belgium circa the early-20th Century. It is not unlike the “British Bulldog” revolvers in many ways, though this one is certainly on the higher end of quality. This little self-defense pistol would have been most at home in the pocket of anyone in the busy city of Liege, London, or Paris during the tumultuous times of the early-1900s. These type pistols are small, light and simple. The “Pocket Pistol” name says it all. They were the "Saturday Night Specials" of the 16th-19th century. Before the Deringer, they were "Gentleman's" or "Muff Pistols", typically, a smaller pistol that was easily concealed. They were favored among the gentry and women because of these traits. Men would carry them concealed in a waistcoat pocket and women would hide them in a hand muff. This example has a unique safety mechanism. By turning the lanyard ring 90 degrees, you can engage or disengage the safety. The overall condition is nearing fine. Original finish preserved. Strong action. Bright bore throughout. Both grips are securely seated and have retained sharp checkering. Clear markings. Liege proofed cylinder. Numbers match (13). This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 3-1/2 inches. Caliber: 9mm Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL or C&R licensee. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1300 #217343 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
