Description: Imperial Germany- German Model “1879 Reichsrevolver”. An incredibly solid revolver manufactured in 1882. Caliber 10.6. The date is stamped on the side of the frame. Serial number 93xx is on the frame and rounded ringed muzzle barrel with matching numbers on many parts of the gun. All markings are crisp, clear and legible. It has a solid lanyard ring in the butt cap and unit markings on the butt, 35 AR 2.47. Overall the gun is a dark chocolate patina with crisp markings. The mechanics are crisp and tight including the solid large safety. The bore is bright, shiny and crisply rifled with scattered fine spots in the bore. Very good bore. The gun weighs 3.0lbs. measuring overall length of 13.75” A Colt Walker weighs 4.5lbs.! The wood grips show moderate wear. These guns were used through the 1880’s up to WWI. Very good overall.
