Tiny 7-Shot Double Action Revolver!
Here we present a Harrington & Richardson Young America .22 Rimfire Double Action First Model, Third Variation Revolver, made circa 1897 to 1904 in Worcester, Massachusetts. The Third Variation is identified by having an octagon barrel, a blue trigger guard, and company name and address on the left side of the barrel. It is a small frame, .22 rimfire 7 shot revolver. This revolver came in barrel lengths of 2, 4 ½, and 6 inches. This was a very successful revolver with a long production from 1884 to 1941. It made a great companion in the early 20th century, a time that included the Great War, violent labor strikes, racial tensions, gangsters, Prohibition and the Roaring 20s.
The overall condition is near fine. 96% of the original nickel finish remains with good case colors and great blue accents. The markings are clear. The bore is in very good condition. The grips are pretty chipped up at the bottom. The action remains excellent.
