Early 20th Century Blued H&R .38 S&W Revolver

Here we present a Harrington & Richardson .38 S&W Revolver, made circa the early 1900s in Worcester, Massachusetts, by the Iver Johnson Arms Company. This interesting little double action revolver was made for concealed carry self-defense in the early 20th Century.

It holds 5 shots of .38 S&W with a 3-1/4 inch barrel. The most unique part of this revolver is the bobbed hammer, which is knurled on top so that one can cock the hammer, either for use in single action mode or to put into half-cock for loading and unloading. The patent date on the revolver’s hammer in April 5, 1887. “SAFETY HAMMER DOUBLE ACTION” is marked on top of the frame.

The overall condition is fine. Original finish. Strong action. Bright bore. Both grips are in fine shape and remain firmly seated. Sharp markings. The box is a correct model factory box that’s in good shape.

This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic.

Barrel is 3-1/4 inches.
