Scarce H&R 925 Prototype in .38 S&W, this example made in 1969 with a 4” barrel. Standard configuration revolver with usual model and caliber markings on the left side of the barrel. Factory address on left side of frame. Full serial number with “X” suffix, reflecting use for in house evaluation, on the butt. Major and most minor components blued with bright polished hammer. Walnut grips with a gold H&R medallion in each panel over a checkered field. Synopsis: H&R, 925 Revolver, Prototype, .38 S&W, AF98445X, A-1610 Condition: 98% Bright original blue. Exposed portion of hammer with staining. Comparable condition grips, the left panel with a hairline crack at heel. Mirror bright bore. Perfect manual mechanics, each cylinder locking in place as expected.
