Description:
Serial #12535, .38 S&W, 4 inch flat sided solid rib barrel with an excellent bore. This is the Defender 38 revolver, 2nd Variation manufactured by Harrington & Richardson from 1940-1942 and advertised as a revolver "Created for war needs, this is the ideal gun for personal and property protection." In excellent condition the top break revolver retains about 93-96% of the original blue finish with some loss on the inside grip and around the muzzle, cylinder and high edges with very light use and handling marks. The oversize, checkered black plastic grips show numerous nicks and scratches on the bottom with excellent checkering and overall light use marks. It locks up tight and works well in both double and single action. It comes with a leather Bucheimer "BORDER" holster. A great War Time produced Civilian Defense Revolver. FFL or C&R
