Description:

Low production H&R Metropolitan Police Revolver, only 700 assembled between 1924-1926 with that particular marking, characteristics otherwise as per the more familiar Trapper. This example has a 6” octagon barrel with a half moon front sight and a notched rear sight. The model markings and caliber appearing on the left side. Full serial number on front strap with the last two digits repeated at rear of cylinder. Fitted with two piece checkered wood grips secured with a single screw.

Condition:

Approximately 97% original blue. Sides and top of the case hardened hammer have been freshened. Near excellent grips. Bright bore with sharp rifling. Cylinder indexes properly. A very unusual appearing revolver, especially by today’s standards, particularly when marking a 22 caliber revolver for the Metropolitan Police!
