HARRINGTON & RICHARDSON .38 S&W Revolver Under-Folding KNIFE BAYONET C&R
1 of 2,000 DA Auto Ejecting SELF DEFENSE Revolvers
Description: HARRINGTON & RICHARDSON .38 S&W Revolver Under-Folding KNIFE BAYONET C&R 1 of 2,000 DA Auto Ejecting SELF DEFENSE Revolvers Here we present a Harrington & Richardson Model 3 Top Break Double Action Revolver chambered in .38 S&W made in Worcester, Massachusetts circa the Turn of the Century. In 1875 Gilbert Harrington and former Frank Wesson employee, William Augustus Richardson, formed the new Harrington & Richardson Company. In 1888 the firm was incorporated as The Harrington & Richardson Arms Company. Their original capital investment was $75,000. Harrington was president, Richardson was treasurer, and George F. Brooks was secretary. This 5-shot revolver would have been ideal to keep in a pocket or a small holster for self-defense in the turbulent early 20th Century. H&R built approximately 2,000 of these folding knife bayonet revolvers from 1901-1917, amid their normal revolver production. They are numbered in the same serial range as the normal revolvers and normal production stats seem to hold true for the bayonet revolver. Offered in .32 or .38, Nickled or Blued, with the Blued and .32 caliber being much harder to come by. One might ask, “why put a knife on the end of a revolver”? The answer to that would be “because sometimes reloading is hard”. The overall condition is fine. Original finish. The bore is shiny bright with sharp rifling. Robust action. Markings are sharp. Both grips are in very good shape with average handling. Mixed numbers. The dagger functions properly. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 4 inches. Caliber: .38 S&W Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail! Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1800 #233865 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
