• 1927-1977 CRUSADER

A "Deluxe special edition with full factory engrave full factory GOLD inlay CRUSADER commemorative", 44 magnum manufactured in 1976 by High Standard with only "50" 8 3/8-inch barrel guns were produced.

If it does not have this factory GOLD inlay, it is not part of this rare "50" only "Deluxe Special edition CRUSADER", the rarest of all additions!
Later, High Standard arms produced 500 more 6 1/2 barrel with just the crusader logo, without the gold factory engraving. These guns were designed as "Commemorative", 50th Anniversary edition with serial numbers up to 500.

• Note: ANY HIGH STANDARD REVOLVER MADE BEFORE 1976 WERE NOT PART OF THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY CRUSADER EDITION, 

Having  only "50" each of this first run CRUSADER model revolver with a 8 3/8-inch barrel, fully engraved with factory GOLD inlaid ever produced in the world makes this rare enough, but having  serial number M44 049 in a UNFIRED FACTORY NEW CONDITION IS ANOTHER THING! HOW MANY UNFIRED CRUSADER .44 MAGS EXIST TODAY IS ANOTHER QUESTION. I PERSONALLY KNOW OF TWO THAT HAVE BEEN FIRED. HIGH STANDARD WENT OUT OF BUSINESS IN 1984.
