1970's Vintage Iver Johnson Cattleman Single Action Revolver in .45 Colt
** Clean All-Original Gun ** SOLD
Description: The Iver Johnson Cattleman series of single action revolvers was manufactured between 1973 and 1978. Iver Johnson had the Uberti company build them in Italy and then imported them into the States. They were offered in .357 Magnum, .44 Magnum, and .45 LC, and were offered in 3 barrel lengths (4.75", 5.5", 7.25"). The Iver Johnson Cattleman features a blued 6-shot cylinder and barrel, a case-hardened frame, a brass triggerguard and backstrap, rod ejection, European Walnut grips, and an automatic hammer block safety. These Iver Johnson Cattleman revolvers seem to be few and far between today, with most of the examples we have encountered in relatively poor condition. This particular example is a .45 LC model with a 4.75" barrel and is in excellent condition overall. The original factory blue finish on the barrel and cylinder rates 97 to 98% with the deductions coming from a small spot on the cylinder and a small spot on the end of the ejector rod housing, with close-up pictures provided of both spots in this listing. The color case-hardened frame is beautiful with lots of bright color still showing and no visible wear. The bore in the 4.75" inch barrel is bright and clean with sharp rifling and no pitting. The cylinder bores are equally as clean as the barrel. The factory original European Walnut grips are in excellent condition. The original clear varnish is still fully intact and clean, and there are only a few tiny handling marks visible if you look really closely. SOLD Manufacturer: Iver Johnson (Uberti) Model: Cattleman SAA Serial Number: 34703 Caliber Info: .45 Long Colt Bore: Excellent Condition: Excellent Manufacture Date: 1973-78 |
