Excellent Antique Iver Johnson .32 DA 1st Model Revolver with Box
Description: Serial #2737, .32 S&W (blackpowder only), 3" barrel with a very good, bright bore that has a patch of dark freckling near the breech-end. This is a handsome little pre-1898 revolver that has retained 98-99% of the original nickel-plated finish throughout, as well as a commensurate amount of original blue on the latch and trigger guard. The hammer and trigger have retained most of their original color case-hardening as well. The checkered, hard rubber owl grips (one of which has faded to dark brown over time) are in excellent condition with very little wear or flattening of the points. The lock-up is tight and the action functions flawlessly. The revolver is housed in an original unnumbered brown cardboard box with intact paper end label. The box is in very good condition, with some edge damage and old tape repairs to two of the lid corners. This is an excellent example of an early Iver Johnson DA revolver, and would make a great addition to a collection. Antique; SOLD |
