Here we present a C&R Iver Johnson Arms & Cycle Works Safety Automatic Double Action Revolver in .38 S&W, made circa the turn of the century in Fitchburg, Massachusetts with a production run between 1894 and 1950. Iver Johnson was a U.S. firearms, bicycle, and motorcycle manufacturer from 1871 to 1993.

The company shared the same name as its founder, Norwegian-born Iver Johnson (1841–1895). Iver Johnson & Martin Bye both cut their teeth with Ethan Allen, then started their own company in 1871. The revolver was a small, sturdy, well-built self-defense weapon, ideal for potent conceal and carry in the closing decades of the tumultuous 19th Century continuing on into the years leading up to the Roaring Twenties.

The overall condition is fine. Original finish preserved. Excellent action. Bright bore. Sharp markings. Both grips are in fine shape with less than average wear. The included leather holster is light tooled with a hand marked star on the flap.
