1941 RUSSIAN WWII Soviet NAGANT 1895 TULA Arsenal Revolver EASTERN FRONT
Made during WORLD WAR 2 with HOLSTER!
Description: 1941 RUSSIAN WWII Soviet NAGANT 1895 TULA Arsenal Revolver EASTERN FRONT Made during WORLD WAR 2 with HOLSTER! Here we present a Soviet Russian Nagant Model 1895 Revolver made at the Tula Arsenal in Russia, circa 1941. This was the primary sidearm of the Soviet Union during the Second World War. This one bears the post-1937 Tula arsenal mark and a date of either 1941 or 1944, as the marking is iffy. This pistol was imported to the United States through “R Guns” of Carpentersville, Illinois and is marked as such. This is a seven shot revolver chambered for 7.62x38mmR and features the “gas seal” system. This involves the cylinder moving forward when the gun is cocked to create a seal between the barrel. This provided a boost to the velocity of the projectile by eliminating cylinder gap. Leon Nagant is to be credited with this unusual system. He was quite the inventor and gun maker. The M1895 was made in both single and double action, though the double action design eventually became the default. The M1895 Nagant was reliable and was used by the Soviet Union military all the way up to about 1952, when it was replaced by the Makarov pistol. The overall condition is very good. The action is robust and tight. The bore is frosted but remains in good shape. Both grips are firm with nice checkering. The frame is dated “1941”. The leather holster is in very good shape. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 4-1/2 inches. Caliber: 7.62x38mmR Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL or C&R licensee. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. ancestryguns $1145 #201136 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
