Description: Rare WWII ALBION No. 2 Mark I** .38 S&W Revolver Made in 1943 at Scotstoun, Glasgow, Scotland! Here we present an Albion Motors Contract Enfield #2 Mark I** Revolver in .38 S&W, made circa 1943 in Scotstoun, Glasgow, Scotland. The Mark I** was Enfield’s final revolver variation. It was simplified from the Mark I* in order to increase production during wartime. It was based on Webley & Scott’s Mark IV revolver in .38 S&W, which Enfield modified and produced as their No. 2 MK I. This revolver was made by Albion in Scotland during World War II to boost production and provide needed sidearms for officers, NCOs and tankers. This one features the Albion company marking on the right side of the frame, which is dated 1943. British proof marks are found throughout. The overall condition is very good plus. 55% of the original finish remains. The markings are clear and legible. The numbers match. The grips are in great shape. The bore is excellent; shiny with strong rifling. The action is excellent. Here is a true rarity for the World War II collector! This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 5 inches.
