This is one of the earliest known first year production French M1892 revolvers that is all original and retains about 95% of it's original blueing. 
Serialization started around serial number F1000 and this gun was probably made in the first few months of production. It is dated 1892 on the barrel, has an excellent bore and grips and is all matching. Sharp French proofs everywhere including inside of the grips. 
The gun has some mild holster wear on the barrel and on the trigger guard and is probably one of the best conditioned early M1892 revolvers out there. 
An impossible to find first year antique French revolver that can be a centerpiece of the French military gun collection.
