This Brazilian Navy Model 1893 revolver is in excellent condition. The overall length is approx. 11"". The 5.75"" octagon 44 caliber (11.2X20R mm, similar to but not the same as the 44 S&W American cartridge) barrel has an excellent bore with strong rifling. All the metal has approx. 98%+ of its original military blue finish. The serial number, 175, is present on the barrel, frame, cylinder, loading gate, and barrel ejector swivel. The left side of the frame is marked ""BREVET"" over ""NAGANT"" in front of the cylinder and ""MARINHA DOS"" over ""E.U. DO BRAZIL"" below the hammer. There are ""GB"" within a circle on the left frame (two locations) and cylinder face. The cylinder has the oval Belgian ""ELG"" proof mark. There also are several star over ""H"" inspection marks. The grips are very good with fine checkering and just a few small dents and dings. The lanyard ring is present on the butt. The actions functions correctly. This rarely seen Brazilian Navy revolver would be a great fit in a Brazilian, Nagant, or early cartridge revolver collection.
