Serial No. 134222, circa 1910-1915, .45acp, 7.5"" unmarked barrel. Finish is mostly a light grey patina with original bluing remaining in protected areas. Bore has strong rifling with areas of pitting visible in the grooves, cylinder has been shaved down to accept .45acp with moon clips. Brown checkered grips are very good with minor wear present. The Webley was bought by Major M.B. Bovill. Bovill served and fought during the Boer War and would rise to the rank of Major in the Surrey (Queen Mary's Regiment) Yeomanry. Records show he did not serve outside of England in WWI, and right after he would relinquish his commission due to illness. Revolver comes with original holster. CONSIGNEMNT.
