The 8mm centerfire French Model 1892 revolver was used by French forces from 1893 to 1945. The 4.6"" octagon on top and round on bottom barrel has a good bore with wear in the grooves. The gun has a smooth blue finish that has mostly turned brown. It is marked Mle 1892 on the top flat of the barrel and A 1909, the year of manufacture, on the right flat. The right rear frame is marked in script Acier Forge St Etienne and the cylinder is marked St Etienne. There are inspection marks throughout. Teh checkered wood grips are fine with the left panel having a small stable age crack at the bottom. The action functions correctly. This Model 1892 revolver is ready for your WWI and WWII French firearms collection.
