British Mk. VI Service Revolver Armorer's Cut-Away Royal Tank Corps
Description: Serial #390593, .455 Webley, 4" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a neat, all-matching cut-away revolver that has retained 97-98% of an armory reapplied blue finish with some areas of faint silvering on the high edges and projections, as well as at the muzzle. The revolver has crisp military markings while the checkered brown, "M" marked hard rubber grips are in fine shape with only some very minor flattening of the points as well as a few minor scratches and handling blemishes. The lock-up is still tight and the mechanism functions flawlessly. Crisp unit markings (struck out when the gun was converted to a cut-away, but still legible) are present on the frame knuckle: "2 BN / RTC / 1.33" (2nd Battalion, Royal Tank Corps, January, 1933). The frame, barrel, and cylinder were relieved in many spots on either side to concisely expose the action and its workings. This is a fabulous looking Webley cut-away, with a highly desirable Royal Tank Corps connection, that would make a great addition to any collection. FFL or C&R SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
