DUTCH COLONIAL MILITARY Model 1894 Double Action 9.4mm Caliber REVOLVER C&R Developed by the DUTCH ARMY for FAR EAST Colonies
Description: DUTCH COLONIAL MILITARY Model 1894 Double Action 9.4mm Caliber REVOLVER C&R Developed by the DUTCH ARMY for FAR EAST Colonies Here we present a C&R Dutch Model 1894 Military Revolver chambered in 9.4mm, made circa the turn of the century by Hembrug with a production run between 1894 and 1945. These were the sidearm of the KNIL (Koninkliik Nederlandsch-Indisch Leger – Royal Dutch East Indies Army). Most of these and were issued to the Dutch armed forces and Police that were deployed in their Far East Colonies, now known as Indonesia. Within the following 50 years most Colonies had received or were about to gain their independence. Today the country we knew as Holland is referred to as the Netherlands and after World War II, Colonialism was a thing of the past. This example was the last Dutch Colonial Revolver from the end of the reign of Queen Victoria. These guns used the 9.4mm round that saw its beginning in the early Nagant Rolling Block double barrel police pistol, and the Nagant brothers had a lot to do with the development of the early Dutch Military revolvers. The 9.4mm round was popular with the Dutch, although Nagant and everyone else moved to other calibers, and eventually this caliber became synonymous with the Netherlands. The overall condition is good. Strong action. Bright bore, lightly frosted towards the muzzle. Both grips are in good shape with a filled spot in the center on the right panel. Numbers match. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 4-1/4 inches. Caliber: 9.4mm Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL or C&R licensee. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1500 #217245 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
