Erfurt ~ Model 1883 Reichsrevolver ~ 10.6X25R
Description: Erfurt Model 1883 Reichsrevolver, chambered in 10.6X25R. This single action revolver features a 6 shot cylinder. This revolver were manufactured by the Royal Prussian Rifle Factory in Erfurt, Germany. Manufacture date is clearly shown as 1895 on the left side of the frame below a Crown. The frame and barrel have the same serial number of 3747 as well as the loading gate. Proof marks are even present on the screw heads along with 7 and 4, and the cylinder is marked 1-6. The backstrap is marked with 1.M.1.28.R.168 along with the struck out markings M.D.XV.92 which are presumably unit markings. Functionally the revolver works as intended (without us being able to fire a round) from the hammer cocking back, to the loading gate, and the cylinder locks up nicely. The grips are 2 pieces of smooth wood with a lanyard ring and are in decent condition with some minor wear present. The bluing is present mainly on the frame of the revolver with some speckling here and there. The barrel has sadly lost most of the finish. The rifling in the bore is still present despite some minor corrosion. 10.6x25mm SOLD Chambers: 10.6X25R Metal Condition: Fair Wood Condition: Good Bore Condition: Good Barrels: 4.5' Sights: Fixed Item Location: Fort Mill, SC |
