Synopsis: Smith & Wesson, S&W, U.S. Army Model 1917 Revolver, 112246, FB01063 Description: Very Attractive and all original example of an S&W Army Model 1917 Revolver with 5.5” barrel having half moon front sight and notched rear sight. Manufaturer and caliber marked on left side of barrel. Top with patent. “UNITED STATES PROPERTY” marked under barrel. Ordnance bomb on left upper frame. Inspector markings on left lower frame, mating surface of crane and back of cylinder. Butt marked “US ARMY MODEL 1917” above serial number 112246. Lanyard ring present. Fitted with smooth walnut panels. Major components blued with color case hardened hammer, trigger, and lanyard ring. Condition: 98% bright original blue with trace muzzle wear and just the faintest cylinder ring. Small blemish at top of frontstrap, near ordnance inspection, and 6 horizontal marks near base of backstrap. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. A high condition S&W .45 ACP Military revolver from WWI with just enough wear to take to the range without a major regret. ~~Insured shipping fee of $55; most packages shipped using FedEx 2nd Day.~~
