The firearm is completely unfired and structurally sound, showing only standard minor storage characteristics over its 30-year lifespan:
Grips: Factory-fitted black buffalo horn panels featuring the iconic, hand-carved relief bust of Chief Cochise on the left side. The horn showcases beautiful natural gray mineral grain striations under direct lighting. The right grip panel detached a few years ago and has been securely re-bonded utilizing high-strength epoxy; it sits tight to the frame and maintains its symmetrical, mirrored factory palm-swell contour. There is a small, distinct flake/chip (slightly larger than a pinhead) missing at the very bottom heel edge of the right horn panel.
Backstrap Plating: The 24K gold plating along the backstrap spine displays light surface wear and minor cosmetic flaking, with faint pitting near the bottom heel curve from long-term box storage contact.
Muzzle & Hardware: The barrel muzzle has stable, non-active dark freckling from old storage rust that was safely carded down with 0000 steel wool (no bare silver halos present). The frame screw behind the hammer shows driver-slip marring.
Please note: A brand new, factory-spec Uberti Dragoon complete replacement screw kit from Taylor's & Company has been purchased and is included loose in the box with the sale so the buyer can refresh the hardware if desired.
