Caliber .36. 5 shot cylinder, 3.5" Barrel without loading lever and hole in the lug for reloading without having to remove the barrel. It is documented that Colt made less than 50 of this rare variation in 1861 with only a handful of surviving examples known. Condition is near Mint...unfired with all the bright high polished blue and case colors. The gripstraps have 100% of their original silver plating which are starting to tarnish in little specks under the protective coat of laqcuer applied by the factory. The signature series were made under license from Colt by Lou Imperato who owned Iver Johnson. The Imperato family also started Henry Repeating Arms in Brooklyn, NY in 1996.
