Antique Rare German 7mm Pin fire Revolver.
Description: Antique Rare German 7mm Pin fire Revolver. Description: German-made 7 MM Pin Fire Revolver with a 2¾" octagon barrel, 6-shot capacity, and folding trigger. The original blue finish has worn off over time, giving the metal surfaces a nice gunmetal gray appearance. These revolvers were produced in Germany in the mid to late 19th century and were popular among both civilians and law enforcement. Pinfire revolvers were named for the unique pin-shaped firing mechanism they used, which was loaded with a pin-shaped firing pin that struck the cartridge primer. The design of the pinfire revolver allowed for quick reloading, and they were a popular choice for personal protection, as well as for use by military officers and law enforcement officials. Despite the popularity of the pinfire revolver, they were eventually phased out in favor of more advanced firearm designs. Condition: 2 ¾” smooth bore with some minor pitting throughout Original blue metal surfaces have turned to a nice gun metal gray. German proof marks on the receiver and cylinder. Left side of receiver stamped D.R.G.M. No87613 Deutsches Reich Gebrauchsmuster Translates to: German Reich Registered Design a German Patent system. Frame and barrel are one piece. Small screw on the left side is removed to remove the cylinder. This model was not produced with an shell ejecting rod. Newer models I believe have a rod holder under the front of the barrel to hold the ejector rod . This model doesn’t have that. The 2 piece original walnut grips are in very good condition with just minor wear and handling marks. Mechanically works very good in single and double action with very good timing and lock-up. Today, these revolvers are considered to be collector's items and are highly sought after by firearms enthusiasts and collectors alike. Their historical significance and unique design make them a valuable addition to any collection of antique firearms. as an antique, it requires no FFL and it can be shipped via USPS priority mail for $15.00. Please note that this gun is sold "as-is" as a collectible with no refund and no return. Payment can be made by personal check, postal money order, or bank check. If you prefer instant payment, call or email for account information, and the item will be shipped the same day funds are received. I can take Zelle, Venmo or Cash App SOLD Antique: Yes |
