Very rare "pinched" front sight
Lanyard ring
Walnut grips in excellent condition
When outlaw Frank James surrendered to Missouri Governor T.T. Crittenden in 1882, he was asked about his choice of sidearm, the Remington 1875 revolver. James declared, “the Remington is the hardest and surest shooting pistol made.”
Based on the earlier Remington percussion models, particularly the Model 1858, but modified for metallic cartridges
Fluted 6 shot cylinder
Most of finish is gone but overall very good shape on metal
Very tight lockup
This model was intended to compete with the Colt Single Action Army in the civilian and law enforcement markets
7.5" webbed barrel
the hammer is original factory-modified from rimfire to centerfire
Own a true piece of history
Serial number 286xx
