Remington New Model Pocket Revolver 32 RF Factory Conversion Antique
Description: Serial #23484, .32 Rim Fire, 3 ½ inch octagon barrel with a very good bore with strong rifling and light roughness. This is a very late production New Model Pocket revolver manufactured by Remington circa 1865-1873 with a factory two piece conversion cylinder for metallic rim fire cartridges. This example remains in Very Fine condition showing about 80-85% original bright nickel finish on the barrel, frame and cylinder with scattered flaking leaving freckled oxidized discoloration. The fire blue hammer retains about 65-70% vibrant bright colors. The original grips are solid with scattered surface marks and are pencil numbered to the gun along with the frame under the left grip and under the barrel. The cylinder has matching assembly numbers on the each piece. The top flat of the barrel is crisply marked: "PATENTED SEPT. 14. 1858. MARCH 17. 1863 / REMINGTON & SONS. ILION. NEW YORK U.S.A. / NEW MODEL". The action functions properly with correct indexing holding at half and full cock and releasing with a crisp trigger pull. A very fine, all correct and original Remington Pocket Revolver. Antique SOLD Antique: Yes |
