Remington Revolver New Model Police Factory Cartridge Conversion
Description:
Serial #316 (Conversion #267), .38 RF, 3 1/2” octagon barrel with a good, lightly freckled bore. This is a nice little Remington conversion that has matching conversion numbers on the body and rea plate of the two-piece cylinder, and retains 95-97% of the original nickel finish that has flaked lightly in a few spots and also exhibits some small spots of dark freckling, mostly on the grip/frame juncture on the right side. Some additional flaking is present on the inside of the frontstrap which has a linear crack that does not go entirely through the metal. The walnut grips are numbered to the gun and are in fine condition with scattered minor handling marks and light blemishes marring the original finish. The lock-up is still tight and the action functions flawlessly. This is a fine, small frame Remington cartridge conversion overall, and would make a great addition to any collection. Antique
