Description: CASED Antique REMINGTON New Model .32 RF FACTORY Conversion POCKET Revolver Mid-19th Century Spur Trigger with ACCESSORIES Here we present a Remington New Model Percussion to Rimfire Conversion Pocket Revolver, made circa 1865-73 in Ilion, New York and converted shortly thereafter likely with a factory conversion. It would have started out life as a .31 caliber percussion revolver prior to conversion. This revolver was designed for defensive carry and would have been equally at home in a holster, pocket or purse. With 5 rounds of .32 rimfire one could get themselves out of most scrapes. This revolver was modified to accept metallic cartridges near the expiration of the Smith & Wesson owned Rollin White Patent, which prevented other companies from using the bored through cylinder until 1869. The overall condition is fine. Original nickel finish. Robust action. The bore is in good shape for its age with serviceable rifling. Both grips are good with average handling wear. Markings are legible. The case and accoutrements are all in good shape. Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 3-1/2 inches.
