Six shot single action with 8” octagon barrel stamped “PATENTED SEPT. 14, 1858/E.REMINGTON & SONS ILION, NEW YORK, USA/NEW MODEL”. All original with exception of the grips which are old very well done replacements hard to tell from the originals and the trigger guard screw which has been replaced by a brass one. Extra nice condition overall with much of the original blue remaining. Has most of the case colors on the hammer. Nice markings including the U.S. Ordnance sub-inspector’s stamps on the barrel, frame and cylinder. Excellent bore and chambers.
