Remington 1875 Single Action Army Revolver
Description:
This is an early production Remington Model 1875 Single Action Army Revolver from the first run which were all in Caliber. 44 Remington Centerfire. Serial Number in the 11,000 range. It has the early style pinched front sight and lanyard ring on the bottom of the grip. The finish was originally blued as there are some traces remaining in protected areas of the barreland trigger guard. Overall, it has a nice smooth brown patina. The barrel has the Remington & Sons address that is good and legible. Good screws throughout. Cylinder pin is good condition with the spring catch intact. Action is in good order. Typical 1870's era black powder Bore that has decent rifling with some scattered pits. No rings or bulges. Good overall. Grips are original and still retain what looks to be some of their original varnish. Several "kill" marks on both grip panels. Good solid example of a 1870's era Remington Revolver.
