Approximately 25,000 Model 1875's were manufactured between 1875 and 1889. Top of 7 1/2" barrel is marked "E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION. N.Y. U.S.A. The left side of frame is marked "44" indicating .44-40 Caliber. The Serial or batch Number 599 is marked on the left side of the grip frame under the grip panel and on the back of the right grip panel. High condition Model 1875's such as this are difficult to find. Revolver is an antique and can ship straight to your door after providing proof of age over 21. No shipping to Ca., N.J. or N.Y. Buyer pays actual shipping cost.
Condition:Excellent. The revolver retains 90% plus original nickel finish showing some minor flaking. The grips are fine with a couple minor chips missing near the bottom and minor handling marks. The grips retain the majority of the original finish. Mechanically excellent. An excellent example of a Remington Model 1875 .44-40 revolver.
