Remington New Model Army Revolver - Cal. .44 - 8 " Bbl. - SN 467XX (1863-1864) - all matching numbers on frame, barrel, and cylinder. Bore is absolutely mint with no spotting or signs of use - action is also like new with perfect timing and lock-up and no play at all in the cylinder. Metal is excellent with sharp edges, markings and inspector marks, no rust or corrosion, and perfect nipples and screws. Retains 90% to 95% + original deep blue with a few spots on the frame and barrel of flaking or thinning - nice, mellow tone to brass. Grips are undamaged with 99% finish and no signs of any real wear - cartrouches are faint, but visible. This Remington was produced later in the war and has seen minimal use and excellent maintenance. An exceptionally crisp, all original and near mint example of an outstanding Civil War revolver - it would be very difficult to find another in this condition. Will make a fine centerpiece in a Civil War collection.
