Antique Nickel finish Remington New Model Single Action Belt Revolver, SN: 5261, cal. .36 RF, with 4.5" octagonal barrel, half moon front sight and groove rear sight. Two line address on the top of the barrel referencing the address and patent dates with “NEW MODEL” centered underneath. Full SN under the barrel, on left frame under grip, and penciled inside the right grip. SN: “1420” on the cylinder and cylinder cap. Color case hardened hammer, fire blued cylinder axle, trigger, and screws. Smooth wood grips with brass escutcheons around the screw. ANTIQUE!
Condition:
Near EXC original nickel finish with light handling marks, cylinder ring, and a few scattered areas of early peeling. Comparable condition case hardening on hammer with fading over upper surface. Grips with superficial handling marks, the right panel having a small splintered loss at bottom rear. VG+ bore, generally bright with sharp rifling, with several areas of oxidative erosions. Correct manual mechanics with each cylinder indexing properly.
