Le Mat Percussion Revolver by Pietta in .44 and 20 guage.

Description:
This Me Mat revolver is in 98% condition and shows no sighs of ever being fired, It is a .44 caliber, 9 shot cylinder and a 20 gauge shotgun barrel. The gun is about the same weight as the Colt Dagoon.  The LeMat was the sidearm of Confederate Generals Jeb Stuart and P.G.T. Beauregard.  It is N/SSA aproved. The walnut graps are hand checkered.  The metal is blued and the octagan revolver barrel is 6 3/4 inches with 7 lands and grouves and the Shotgun barrel is 6 1/2 incches.. The front sight is dovetailed and the rear sight is located on the hammer nose. The 20 gauge shotgun barrel is located below the revolver barrel.  This is the Calvlary model with the spur trigger guard and lanyard ring.  The cylinder is lightly engraved and the shotgun selector is in the hammer nose.  It uses .451 balls and number 11 caps.  A very interesting revolver and nice peice for the collecter or shooter.
