1956 Vintage Ruger Old Model 3-Screw Single Six .22 Caliber Revolver w/ Flat Gate ** Very Clean & All-Original Example **
Description: This is a very clean and 100% original Ruger Old Model 3-Screw Single Six .22 caliber single-action revolver with the sought-after early flat loading gate. This particular example was made in 1956 and has obviously lived an easy life. The factory blue finish is in excellent condition showing only very minor wear. The balance of the factory blue is bright and shiny. All of the factory markings on the gun are crisp and clean, and all of the screw heads appear unmolested with clean and straight slots. The 5.5" inch barrel has a mirror-bright bore with sharp rifling throughout and no visible imperfections or erosion. The alloy grip frame retains all of the factory black anodizing which remains in excellent condition, with only a little fading visible in spots. This Old Model Single Six is free from any scratches, dings, or dents in the metal. The original factory black checkered plastic grips are in excellent condition with both sides free from any cracks, chips, or repairs. The checkering is still clean and sharp on both sides, and both grip panels fit the gun perfectly and are tight to the frame with no wiggle. The action on this single action revolver is smooth, precise, and perfectly "in time" no matter how fast or slow you work it. All of the controls on the gun are in perfect working order, and there is no doubt that this vintage Ruger will still function just as reliably and accurately today as it did when it left the factory more than 70 years ago. If you have been looking for a nice all-original flat gate for your collection that you can enjoy as both an investment and an occasional shooter, it would be hard to improve on this one!!
