A fully adjustable rear sight and a green fiber-optic insert in the front sight allows for precision shooting of small targets. Both front and rear sights are made of steel; the front sight is dovetailed to the sight ramp and easily replaceable. An integral ejector rod housing balances the sidearm well in the hand. The angle of the SP101's peg-style grip frame, with its checkered wood and cushioned rubber grip, points instinctively and provides a comfortable, solid hold in any environment. A triple-locking cylinder is locked into the frame at the front, rear, and bottom so that it stays aligned without getting sloppy over time. The SP101 has a smooth double-action trigger pull, and a clean, crisp break in single-action. The solid frame of the SP101 has no side plate, and the revolver disassembles into integrated subassemblies with no tools, aiding to ease of maintenance in the field.
