Ruger New Bearcat Convertible Revolver in 22LR & 22Mag, 22WMR, Rare and Very Collectible!
Description: Available for sale is an Excellent Condition New Bearcat Convertible (All Matching, 22 Magnum & 22 lr) pistol that is considered very collectible among Ruger Handgun collectors!-------Free Shipping in lower 48! Price decrease on 8/24/25........When Ruger re-introduced the New Bearcat in 1993, the first 1000 manufactured came with both matching 22LR and 22Mag cylinders. The manufacturer attempted to recall the 22 Mag cylinder by sending out a letter describing a timing issue, and subsequently asking owners to send in the 22 magnum cylinders to get them fixed or re-timed, etc. Truth is.....the 22 Mag cylinders were never returned back to the owners. It is believed there are only 200-300 of these convertible Bearcats in collector’s hands today. This New Bearcat Convertible Revolver has beautiful rolled engraving of a Bear and a Wildcat on both the 22LR and 22Mag cylinders. Both cylinders lock up super tight (as new) and appear to show little or no use since manufacture date in 1993. Close inspection of this Bearcat indicates it may not have been fired outside of the factory as there are no visible roll marks on either the 22lr or 22 Mag cylinder. Each cylinder has the last three digits of the serial (847) number EP’ed on the front of cylinders. This revolver comes with an original Yellow Box, marketing information, and the original letter from the manufacturer regarding the “timing” issue of the 22 Mag cylinder. Overall, the condition of the pistol is in excellent matching condition. The bore is shiny with sharp lands and grooves. The blue finish is 99% Excellent condition, and the wood grips are in Excellent condition with no blemishes to speak of. The Yellow Box does show some wear.
