Ruger Old Army Percussion .44 Revolver Stainless Steel.
Description:
This is an excellent Ruger Old Army cap and ball revolver made of Stainless Steel. It is recomended that you use .457 caliber balls. From the mid 1800's, guns of this caliber were called .44 even though they were actually .45 caliber. This Revolver, a Ruger Old Army is the best designed and strongest of all Cap and Ball guns ever made. It has adjustable sights and a white insert front sight. Being Stainless Steel does not mean they do not have to be cleaned. Even Stainless Steel will rust and pit if not properly taken care of, but this is not hard to do. An old tooth brush, a cleaning rod with patches, some dish soap and hot water will do it. Do not forget to use oil or vasoline after cleaning. It has a 7 1/2 inch barrel with a bright shiny bore. This gun was properly taken care of.
