The Ruger Redhawk revolver was introduced in 1979 as Ruger’s flagship .44 Magnum double action revolver. Its design featured a reinforced Security Six frame and a longer cylinder than most of its competitors, allowing hand loaders to use hot loaded .44 Magnum rounds.
